Energy Union: towards a transformed European energy system with the new, integrated Research, Innovation and Competitivness Strategy

Venue: Hotel Double Tree by Hilton, Bratislava, Slovak Republic

Aim: The SET Plan conference 2016 is conjoined with the 10th annual Central European Energy Conference (CEEC X). The conference aims to examine the process of accelerating the development and deployment of low-carbon technologies and the creation of the European Energy Union, focusing on research and innovation strategy.

Its ambition is to improve the visibility of the Strategic Energy Technology Plan and Energy Union, to identify policy options and priorities and to plan future actions. The conference will be accompanied by three side events the day before the main programme:

1. Networking4Innovation Matchmaking (N4I) will be organised by the Danube-INCO.net (including research and innovation projects, business and technological cooperation).
2. Strategic Energy Technologies Information System (SETIS) - a workshop organized by the Joint Research Centre (JCR).
3. General Assembly of the Sustainable Nuclear Energy Technology Platform (SNETP).
